Mrs. Lisa Lee - Principal

Message from Principal:

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Let me be the first to welcome you to Richardson Sixth Grade Academy! I am very proud of our dedicated staff and I am pleased that you have chosen our school for your child’s education.

As demands of teaching children increase, it becomes more evident that we all need to work together to insure that our children reach their fullest potential. I believe that all of us- the school and the community- must work together as an extended family to insure success for all our students. It’s our responsibility to empower children with the creative, intellectual and decision-making skills necessary for them to become academically, socially, physically, and emotionally successful.

With that in mind, you are invited to be an active participant at RSGA. Whether you are a club volunteer, member of PTO or a special event participant, you are encouraged to be involved! Increasing parent involvement in our school is a high priority for me in the coming year. Educational research clearly demonstrates that when parents are more involved in their child’s education the child’s likelihood for academic success greatly increases.

One of our most important responsibilities to you is that we keep you informed of all that is taking place at the school. One of the ways we do this is regularly updating our school website and social media platforms. You can find up-to-date events, classroom photographs, and additional information in these places, so I encourage you to visit it as often as possible. Another critical communication tool that we use to keep parents informed is a school planner, which your child will receive the first week of school. The planner is the quick and effective tool to help keep the doors of communication open between home and school. In addition to the website and planner I want you to know that you are welcome to call me if you have any questions or concerns.I look forward to having an open and rewarding relationship with you and your child.

Sincerely,Lisa Lee, Principal
