Action Team and Sports Privileges
School Action Teams and Sports are earned privileges. These activities have designated times, tryout dates, and possible fees. It is the student’s responsibility to be aware of these times, deadlines, and fees.
School Action Teams
We will have several school Action Teams for 2022-2023 : Recycling, STEM, Robotics, Drama, FFA, Kindness and Cooking, if guidelines permit, hese groups will have School Employees as sponsors and their own set of rules / expectations. They will meet during and after-school.
After-School Sports
To be eligible for after-school sports students must: Have a 2.0 Grade Point Average (GPA) or better Have minimal discipline issues Have minimal tardies Have No Discipline ReferralsAttend Richardson Sixth Grade Center as a full time student
To try out for a team, students must have at least a 2.0 GPA and no discipline referrals at the time of tryouts. The Athletic Director will obtain a weekly grade and discipline report for each student. If a student's grades drop during the season, the student will be placed on probation until academic requirements have been met. We offer the following competitive sports: basketball, indoor soccer, volleyball, cheerleading, dance and archery.
All students on sports teams must have a current physical on file to participate. Students must attend campus during the day the to participate in sports.
